Virginia State troopers responded to the single-vehicle wreck early Friday morning, June 10, just before 1:30 in Arlington County, State Police officials said. A Chevrolet Camaro had skidded off the left side of the ramp, hit a curb, and tumbled.

First responders rushed the driver, Jose T. Villanueva, 31, of Alexandria, to George Washington Hospital, where he later died, officials said. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, and the force of the crash ejected him from the car.

State police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
